Kathy's Korner - Final Post
Greetings all,
When I started in Mahwah many years ago, the HS was a campus, Ridge Road was dirt. There was no McArthur Blvd., no condos and if you can believe it no Dunkin Donuts, only Pals Diner.
It has been a wonderful journey and my life has been enriched through the students and colleagues who became part of my life.
I leave with beautiful parting gifts that I am so grateful for receiving. The laptop from all of you will keep me connected, the Irish friendship ring from the Ridge will always remind me of the bond of love we shared and the quilt made my Mary Elbert will let me wrap myself in the memories. I appreciate all the cards and kind words. I loved the performance by the BR Staff at my dinner; the real truth is I’ll always be a primary teacher at heart. To all the retirees that also preformed, thank you. You are the ones I spent my career and shared all those lifetime moments. I look forward to joining you next year.
I particularly want to say thank you to Skip, Brian, Vic, Karen and Jimmy who supported me through every crisis.
To Laura, I leave knowing the Association will be even better because of you. You and the cast you have assembled are so ready for the challenges ahead.
To my fellow retirees, see you at Sandy Hook opening day in Sept.
It has been an honor and privilege to work with all of you, past and present.
God has blessed me through the years and I won’t cry because it’s over but rather smile because it happened. I heard once “Your attitude is the difference between an adventure and an ordeal.”
What a ride this has been.
I feel the love.
God bless you all.
Later,
Kathy
